Review: Ed Moon drops new angelic tune

Melbourne based up and coming musician Ed Moon has just released his new single titled Moon and it’s stripped back nature allows you to bask in all the beauty of the track. The 19 year-old soulful singer draws similarities to likes of Leon Bridges and it shows with his versatility and vulnerable sound.

Moon, which was written, recorded and produced during stage 4 restrictions, is a song about hope. The idea of the moon being a beacon of hope and light throughout an incredibly tough year that has seen some dark moments. The track is now, it’s raw, it’s current but it also evokes feelings of nostalgia with his lyrics taking centre stage.

“I’ve always had a strong connection to the moon. From a young age it’s always been something my family and I have shared, it reminds me of the beauty in nature and helps me stay connected. During this isolation period it has become somewhat a symbol and a reminder to keep going.”

The track that was produced by @seangagemusic is set to make it’s performance debut on The State of Music tonight at 7:30pm introduced by  Matt Corby. A well deserved experience.

We bloody love the energy of Ed, he is just a genuine ray of creative expression who wants to bring important conversations to light throughout his music experience.

Make sure to tune in tonight to hear his performance. Check out  his new track below or head to our Sunday's R 4 the Soul 🎷  playlist to hear more sleek songs like this one.
